Kevin Davies Gets A Few Things Off His Chest

So, I kind of was getting to like Kevin Davies. Seemed like a decent guy on Twitter, hard worker, gave Football Weekly something to talk about, etc. Following  Bolton's 1-0 defeat to City on Saturday though, ol' Kev' decided to share his opinions on a few things. First, he took to Twitter, saying (I'm stringing a few tweets together here):

Seeing Tevez reaction to being subbed assures me there is problems within at city, great players individually but as a team??

They do not seem to even celebrate goals together?

(On the subject of the Balotelli-Boateng "fight"): Never had one of those in 8 years at bwfc

I think if you are being subbed it is the managers decision and also you should show bit of respect to the player coming on

You got to love football and how everyone has different opinions, night

The next day, he seemed to have a bit of a change of heart:

Just wanted to say sorry for commenting on city last night, not really my place to comment on other clubs and not on here to do that
Was not bitter about result either!! I have lost enough games to be bitter about one loss!!

Honestly, fair play to him. I disagree with his take on the Tevez sub, but I kind of like this better than players who refuse to have an opinion on things for fear of offending someone. However, his next bout of Man City induced anger doesn't really leave me feeling the same way.
Davies, in an interview with The Bolton News , labeled MCFC as a team full of "embarrassing" divers
When there is not much contact and they go down screaming, it’s embarrassing from a man’s point of view,” the striker said.
“It’s frustrating and embarrassing at times. It’s part of our game, unfortunately, and you need the referee to sort it out. And I thought he did okay.”
I'm with him up to here. I hate diving as much as the next guy. Though I think it's fair to point out that there's a decent amount of whingers in Bolton team as well. Hello there, Martin
Anyways, what he said next is what I take issue with:
“There are a lot of European players in their squad and I think that’s something they are taught on the continent.
Quite right Kevin! English players never dive. Nope, never. Sigh.
