Some rambling about the West Ham match tomorrow.
- Hardly needs to be said, but it's a huge weekend with Spurs, Chelsea, United, and Arsenal all squaring off against each other.
- Words can't describe how worried I am about Tevez being out.
- Indications that our lineup tomorrow will look like this:
Hart
Richards-----------Toure-----------Kompany----------Zabaleta
-----------------------------De Jong
-----------------Yaya-------------------Barry
-------------------------------Silva
----------------Balotelli--------------------Jo
I'm okay with that. Still not sure about Kolo's fitness, so that's a worry. Jo still makes me shake my head at times, but if he plays a role similar to the Fulham match where he basically just knocks down balls from Hart, fine by me.
- As for West Ham, really no clue what to expect. Mancini has said they don't play like a bottom side, but I'm not so sure I agree with him. *Cue 8-0 Hammers victory*
- Meaningless prediction: City 2- 1 West Ham

Look at that team chemistry! It's awful!

Pretty clever of them to pretend to be having fun like that. Thankfully the media knows what's up!

Thursday Midday Roundup
Transfer Rumors
Sam Allardyce really wants Roque Santa Cruz. So much so that he's willing to quit over it. So says The Sun at least.
West Ham are trying to buy Shaun Wright-Phillips on the cheap says the Daily Star .
Meanwhile, the Mail claims that City are the front runners to sign David Luiz. (I think I'm in the "No" camp on this one).
Kelvin Etuhu is set to leave on a free transfer.
Other News
Rumors today that City have struck up a partnership with Atletico Madrid. If this story is correct, City would have right of first refusal on players like Sergio Aguero. Nothing confirmed yet either way.
Training Report
Everyone back in training today except for Shay Given and Adebayor. Kolo Toure worked 1-on-1 with a trainer. (Report via mancityfans.net)

Kevin Davies Gets A Few Things Off His Chest
So, I kind of was getting to like Kevin Davies. Seemed like a decent guy on Twitter, hard worker, gave Football Weekly something to talk about, etc. Following Bolton's 1-0 defeat to City on Saturday though, ol' Kev' decided to share his opinions on a few things. First, he took to Twitter, saying (I'm stringing a few tweets together here):
Seeing Tevez reaction to being subbed assures me there is problems within at city, great players individually but as a team??
They do not seem to even celebrate goals together?
(On the subject of the Balotelli-Boateng "fight"): Never had one of those in 8 years at bwfc
I think if you are being subbed it is the managers decision and also you should show bit of respect to the player coming on
You got to love football and how everyone has different opinions, night
The next day, he seemed to have a bit of a change of heart:
Just wanted to say sorry for commenting on city last night, not really my place to comment on other clubs and not on here to do that
Was not bitter about result either!! I have lost enough games to be bitter about one loss!!
Honestly, fair play to him. I disagree with his take on the Tevez sub, but I kind of like this better than players who refuse to have an opinion on things for fear of offending someone. However, his next bout of Man City induced anger doesn't really leave me feeling the same way.
Davies, in an interview with The Bolton News , labeled MCFC as a team full of "embarrassing" divers.
When there is not much contact and they go down screaming, it’s embarrassing from a man’s point of view,” the striker said.
“It’s frustrating and embarrassing at times. It’s part of our game, unfortunately, and you need the referee to sort it out. And I thought he did okay.”
I'm with him up to here. I hate diving as much as the next guy. Though I think it's fair to point out that there's a decent amount of whingers in Bolton team as well. Hello there, Martin
Anyways, what he said next is what I take issue with:
“There are a lot of European players in their squad and I think that’s something they are taught on the continent.
Quite right Kevin! English players never dive. Nope, never. Sigh.
